スチールスペーサー(エコ)

End code: E

Material: Free-cut steel

Treatment: Trivalent chrome chromate
Hexavalent chromium-free spacer (trivalent chrome chromate treatment)
Trivalent chrome chromate is safe for the environment
  • Surface treatment for conventional steel spacers involved the use of colored chromate (hexavalent chromium). Hexavalent chromium is toxic on contact with the human body and its waste emissions seep into the ground to cause environmental pollution when dissolved by acid rain.
  • The movement to exclude hexavalent chromium from products started in Europe, and Japan is also moving in the same direction by phasing out hexavalent chromium in favor of trivalent chromium.

The surface treatment agent currently being used is made by Nippon Hyomen Kagaku Kabushiki Kaisha.

  • Characteristics
    1. 1) Same corrosion resistance as colored chromate
    2. 2) Tough against scratches due to self-healing properties
    3. 3) Same torque coeffi cient as colored chromate
    4. 4) Superior heating corrosion resistance
    5. 5) Color is pearly lustrous chromate
