Ultraserts are post-molding heat press-fi t inserts with exceptionally strong retention force.
2 types are available, allowing you to choose the type with the greatest retention force according to application and usage conditions.
 
Steps for use
Set insert into hole in opposite material Heat press-fi t Work completed

Note: Apply soldering iron, etc. to inside of insert and insert while melting resin.

UltrasertⅡ
Products are tapered for easy setting in opposite material and will not fall out due to slight movement.
Also due to excellent thermal conductivity the end result is very strong since resin is melted over a larger area.
Making opposite material pilot hole tapered will further prevent insert from coming loose.  
 
UltrasertⅣ
Consider when tapering holes as part of Ultrasert Ⅱ design would result in surface shrinkage of molded items.
 
Precautions during use
Insert will not hold when fastening soft objects such as packing material. Insert will not hold if hole diameter of fastened object is larger than outer diameter of insert. Strength will be insufficient if the opposite material pilot hole is too large.
